Relay for
Life 2009 Information The towns of Belton, Honea Path and Williamston will come together for an all-night session beginning at 7:00 pm on Friday, May 8 and concludes at 7:00 am on Saturday, May 9 in a show of community unity in the fight to find a cure for cancer. Many businesses, civic groups, churches and school student groups will join together at the B-HP High School football field & track in a wonderful night of fun, remembrance and fellowship. Relay for Life is a family oriented event where teams raise funds to support the activities of the American Cancer Society. Participants camp out at the Relay site and take turns walking, while enjoying local entertainment and fun activities. Interested team captains can register their team online at http://www.screlayforlife.org. Click on "Be a part of Relay," and then choose RFL Belton Honea Path Williamston. Donations can also be made online at the same address. This year's BHPW theme is "Through the Decades." Teams are encouraged to choose a decade --- past, present or future --- and dress and decorate their campsites to signify that decade. For more information on cancer, call ACS 24-hour hot line at 1-800-ACS-2345 or visit the web site: http://www.cancer.org.
