Belton High School
Alumni Monument 1922 - 1966

A committee of Belton High School Alumni formed the Belton High School Preservation Committee to obtain permission and a site to erect a sign on the grounds where Belton High was once located.  The school trustees and superintendent of Anderson School District Two granted permission for the project.

Brick from the original building was used to construct the sign.  Tax deductible donations solicited from former Belton High School Students was used to buy supplies and materials to complete this project.  The project was completed in 2009.

A photo of the alumni sign was featured on the 54th issue of the 2009-2010 Belton Lions Club annual "Community Birthday Calendar."

The Belton High School Preservation Committee has other projects planned to preserve memorabilia of the school.
