After the 3:00 P.M. Christmas Parade the afternoon activities for children and adults continued beginning at 5:00 P.M. in Belton on the square with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting in front of the Belton Depot.  Mayor Rufus Callaham & City Administrator Michelle Ricketson spoke to the crowd, Marshall Primary Chorus led by Lindsay Morgan sang Christmas Carols, and David Jones turned on the tree lights. 

Santa was there for the children to visit and have their photo taken with  Other activities included crafts for the children and the Nancy Page Wreath Auction for the adults.
