After
the 3:30 P.M. Christmas Parade the afternoon activities for children and
adults continued beginning at 5:30 P.M. in Belton on the square with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting in
front of the Belton Depot.
Mayor Rufus Callaham welcomed everyone before lighting the tree, and Marshall Primary
Children's Chorus led by Lindsay Morgan entertained the crowd with
Christmas Carols.
Santa was there for the children to visit and
have their photo taken with, and everyone was encouraged to bring their cameras. Other activities
at the Depot included crafts for
the children and the Nancy Page Wreath Auction for the adults.
